It wasn't God, it was his granny smith.
Actually, it wasn't an apple tree. The word apple is translated in our english bibles but the real fruit was a sort of pomegranite or quince. The apple is actually a man made fruit which was produced in the fourteenth century by cross pollonation of two different trees.

Think about it...if you had a girlfriend, boyfriend, spouse, or friend, and you could MAKE them love you...if they didn't have a choice...would you feel good about it? It wouldn't be true love.
God had to give people the choice...love him or not, believe in him or not...it is our choice. That way, when people actually choose to live a good life and believe in God, He knows that they actually love Him...because He left it up to their own free will.
