If Athiests were to wipe ALL of you out (meaning no f'in islam or christianity, or judaism, or buddism, or ANY of that crap) would it NOT be reasonable to believe that the world, as a whole, would be a better place? I mean, honeslty, all you people do is ***** and moan and complain about how your god is the only one and yadda yadda yadda. So get rid of ALL of you and those of us with common sense could make a more practical and uninsane world. Really, what IS your purpose to exist OTHER than to cause strife and hatred for others?

Wow...not one "real" answer by those so-called "believers." Oh yeah, ***** and moan but come up with a plausible argument? Oh I think not.

Hmmm..wondering where "I" said all religious folk should be wiped out. I belive the term was "IF." So IF you are going to give an honest answer and not one based on defensiveness and hatred of those that don't believe the way you do, I'd come up with something a bit more pragmatic so you don't all look so short-sighted.

I wouldn't blame you if you aren't still reading the answers you got. But just in case you are. . .

I'm a Christian, and I do see value in having people from all religions around. Are religious people flawed? Of course we are. We screw up all the time, and we're under scrutiny because we go around telling other people that they should stop screwing up. I'm not making excuses. When we stand up and claim to be for something, the world has the right to judge us. You just shouldn't judge our God by our actions. As hard as we try (in most cases, we are trying) we'll never be an accurate representation of what God is about.

Here's my point. A lot of good come from religious people. It's not all bombing abortion clinics and interferring with gay rights and preaching unsolicited sermons on street corners. The majority of us are quietly serving our communities. We're working for homeless shelters, helping our neighbors, volunteering for youth organizations, etc. If it weren't for religion, we would be so much more selfish as a society.

Sure, you don't have to be religious to do good deeds, but religion does give us a mindset that makes us more mindful of other peoples' needs. It also makes [me at least] willing to help people when I don't want to. If you have a world full of people living only for themselves (not that I think all atheists are like that) you might start to miss religious people a little bit.

For the Record, I am a Christian, and do have common sense. I don't not push my beliefs on to others, Most of the time I let people ask me to explain my point of view. If you do not agree with me that is fine, I'll still treat you with respect. I don't cause strife and hatred for others. Though you, on the other hand have disrespectfully shoved your beliefs in everyone else's face. Thus you have become the very thing you despise. If you do not believe in any God, then those of us who should not concern you as much. Atheists can be just as bad as any Christian, Muslim, Jew, or any other Religion. Yes I am a Christian and believe that there are Christians who are a complete and total menace to society. How are you being different from what you hate? I don't agree with your beliefs as an Atheist, or with the gay couple down the street, or with the Muslims who I pass on the street. But I show them the same respect I show to my fellow believers. No, the ones who need to be wiped out are the intolerant ones from every belief system, including Atheists. Think about that.

I'm a youth pastor, and I'm honestly telling you this. Would it be a more unified earth, YES! I'm not going to lie. Any people believing in the same thing always makes it "unified", but because your unified, and peaceful, dosen't make it a better future for eternity. That's what's really going on.

Speaking from a Christians point of view, your question in itself show's hatred, and mallice, the very thing we are trying to help everyone solve within themselves with Christ.

So honestly, if you wipe us away. You'd find a way to wipe each other away, because that's your nature. Your not the only person I know that has asked that question? And it just so happens that the other person that asked me was also Athiests. So in my conclusion, if you wiped us away you'd wipe away the confusion your causing yourself. And you'd also be left with hatred, and mass murdering that you all would do.

I've never heard christianity, judaism, buddism, or any other "CRAP" speak of wiping anyother of the face of the Earth. Because we'ved learned to co-exsist.

My question is... Why can't you? Are you secretly tormented by the way you live?

what is the worst thing an atheist cannot do? If an atheist dont believe in God then I dont think they would do anthing good. Rather if this world will be ruled by the atheists then this world will be at worst. You know WHAT? as a christian, I mean the true christian, we are in fact ready to be wiped out sooner or later in this earth because we believe that time is not too long anymore and it is prophesized in the bible. We know that we are not really from this earth or for this earth, theres is life after death, a heaven waiting for us and not for atheists. And for you to know, believe it or not this earth will be burned to hell with them, also with the blasphemers, antichrist, false Christians and prophets so how could this earth will be a better place. So stop dreamimng , start reading the bible I suggest.

Unfortunately, it wouldn't work. After all, if you get rid of all the lunatics, who would come up with all the really insane ideas that keep this world ticking over?
Seriously. If atheists were to wipe out all religions they ould have to also wipe out everyone else as well. Because we all beleive in something. Even if it is ourselves. Their is no such animal as a total non-believer in anything. Even football has become a religion, it has its idols, there is a place they go to worships on a saturday and sunday, it has its followers, some of whom are fanatical. It has its 'holy wars' etc. And there are lots of other examples of such things in many different areas. So lets be practical. If men didn't argue about their beliefs, but simply shut up and got on with it, then life would be at least a bit easier on us all wouldn't it?
After all, that's what really iiritates you isin't it? The way some people just want to shove their beleifs down your throat?
I'm a son of God and I sure hate people trying to stuff their religions down my throat.

someone has a couple internal issues to say the least. But first of all I dont think atheists could wipe out the religions because there are too many (logically speaking). Christians make up about 1.6 billion people plus around the world, there are also a good amount of the jews, muslims, buddhists, and what not. even the indigenous peoples of the amazon or africa or the outback have a sort of religion and they have gods and doctrines that they follow. Why do you try to fight a Being that you believe doesn't exist? That goes for his followers as well. I'm sorry you feel the way you feel, but just as you're entitled to your own beliefs, why can't we be entitled to ours especially when you don't believe in anything. What's our purpose you ask........What is yours?? No one knows why we're here really because we all have different paths to follow and different things to acheive. Take some of that anger you have and channel it into something positive instead of taking it out on the people who believe in something that we choose to believe in, just as you choose not to believe in.

Actually, we have a purpose - unlike unbelievers.

The sad thing about atheists is that they are so bitter and condescending... they think they are so grown up, but they are just closing their eyes and stricking their fingers in their ears and saying "BLablablablabla, I can't hear you, you're stupid! BLablablabla!"

The wonderful thing about being a believer is that you have something more that this sad existence on earth... something more, something eternal.
I have never been able to hate atheists - only pity them.
Oh, and I dare you to try to wipe religion off the face of the earth. See where that gets you. The mere idea, even when preceeded by an "IF" is absurd.

In response to your comment, i must say that Chris K is right - you seem to be the most (forgive me for using the word) "Bitchy" one in here - your argument is more provocative than any of the responses...

in hassle-free terms 'one' greater question? Come on. i'm helpful you would be wanting greater. First, i like the call and the image. super interest there. 2d, comprehend there are some very youthful young babies at right here. An Avatar and the means to sort does no longer make one clever. there is wrong reporting often times (from the two factors, btw). with a bit of luck the regulation of averages regulations. So take it with a grain of salt. Peace

I think you would still have the physical evils of the world (hunger, poverty, etc.) to b*tch and moan about.

Taking out your hatred on other people isn't going to make it go away, it will just be redirected at whatever else happens to offend your "common sense" that day (the rhyme is unintentional.)

As an atheist myself, I think that most of the strife and hatred in the world is due more to greed and power in the name of religion than religion itself. In other words, even without religion, there will still be strife and hatred.
