They are all Buffalo, NY specialities.....and I miss them, damnit!! They don't know how to make hot dogs right here in NYC. And when I ask someone if they ever had a Beef on Wek, they look at me like I am an alien. Do any of you know these foods/restaurants? I am homesick.

I am from Canada and travel to Buffalo frequently, and I am also a former chef, is you can find a European bakery that sells German specialty items, sometimes you can get a pretzel roll, small or large. I see on the TV stations that Mighty Taco has brought back the BBQ beef taco, there are small websites or people in Buffalo that would help get food products to you, Kahn's Hot Dogs, Sunbeam Bread Products.
Check out webistes or if you have friends or relatives that still live there, that is a great internet business, I am sure there are other Buffalo compatriots that would flood a site to purchase these items, most people who relocate always find there is something they miss from back home.
I know when I travelled as a chef acrossed Canada, I missed the chips or French fries from our downtown area, fried in lard with lots of salt and cider vinegar, no one else could replicate the flavour, that is what we all miss is the flavour, the authentic aromas or the way we used to enjoy them in our youth

My brother-in-law is from Buffalo. He introduced me to Beef on Wek (pot roast sandwich on special salty bun) at a Buffalo Wings place. It was near Santa Rosa, CA. But what I really, really loved was the bleu cheese dip for the wings, carrots, and celery! I've never heard of the other foods you mention...but I love Philly Cheese Steak!
I'll never leave Northern California because if you look hard enough, you can find any kind of food!

I don't know about NY but the IOWA STATE FAIR has just about anything on a stick.
snickers, peanutbutter cups, twinkies....yep they dip em all im batter and fry em on the spot, while you wait.
corndogs. shrimp on a stick.
