I've heared that the jewish are often dissed by christians because they sapposedly crucified Jesus( I think that's why Hitler went on that horrible jew killing rampage along with the nazis) We'll in history, it tells that it was the ROMANS crucified Jesus because the roman empire was afraid he was going to cause a rebellion with the ever growing band of followers of the christain faith. I don't know what the bible says (cause I don't read it) But I'm sure it says something else. (Sorry if i by any means offended anyone)

I don't get it, they crucify Jesus over two milleniums ago, accusing the guy of being someone sent from hades or something and now look at Rome! It's like the freaking holiest city in the world!

Suffice it to say that PEOPLE crucified Jesus. You need not attribute it to any one group. The fact is, nobody saved him, so everyone is responsible. But the fact also is that he had to be crucified in order to save the world, so in that no one is responsible.
It is another paradox of Christianity. Just don't get bogged down in blaming who and what. Better to focus on the gift of salvation.

um, What's your question?
It is true that the Romans actually crucified Jesus, but it was the Jews who requested it. Since the Romans were in power over the Jews at that time, the Jewish people did not have the power to put him to death, so the Romans did it. So, as I understand it, the Jewish crucified Jesus through the Romans. I am pretty sure that's how the story goes. But what do I know.... I am no where near that of a Christian.

hey guys......this is not my opinion as im not a christian nor roman nor jew. i just got this info from a site and thought u might find it interesting.
The Jews crucified Jesus through the Romans. At the time of Jesus' crucifixion, the Romans had conquered all the area in which Jesus lived and taught. The Romans allowed the Jews to continue with their Sanhedrin (their government), but the Romans took away capital punishment from the Jews. In order to have Jesus crucified, the Jewish leaders had to manipulate Rome into doing it. First, the Jewish leaders had to lie - make up charges (Lk. 23: 2, 3). The Jewish leaders persisted in their demands for crucifixion (vss. 5-19). New Testament writers charged the Jews with having crucified Jesus

Crucifixion is a Roman punishment for The enemy of the Empire. While the Jews where shouting Jesus is a blasphemer because he claimed to be the son of God and he desecrated the Sabbath law, a Roman heckler shouted crucify him. Rome is getting agitated by the popularity of Jesus and was threatened by any civil disobedience he may lead which might end to bloody revolution. The Jewish are particularly expecting Jesus to lead them to revolt because they thought, the Messiah they are expecting will be the same as Moses who brought them out of Egypt. This time they are expecting a Messiah that would lead them out of Roman rule.
Rome saw the opportunity to reduce the threat by crucifying Jesus. Roman Catholics who have successfully dissociate itself from Jewish Catholic Orthodox on the 20th century also made a campaign about the Jews crucifying Jesus. A reason why most countries in Europe who are Roman Catholics started to hate the Jews who are living and growing in their country and prospering in many commercial business.

Both the Jews and the Romans crucified God who is Jesus. The Bible is the correct historical account of what happened. Under the New Covenant there is no excuse for killing Jews or anyone else. I am also a physical Jew and a Spiritual Jew by believing in God who is Jesus the Messiah. The Roman Empire was not afraid of Jesus. It was the rebellious Jewish leaders and their followers who were afraid of God who is Jesus. Pilate gave into the
Jews desire because they threatened his political position if he released Jesus.

Jesus was handed over by Temple authorities to the Roman prefect Pontius Pilate, who held a short trial and then crucified Jesus for insurrection. Those Jews who handed him over were only one small band of Jews who sided with Rome because they risked losing their power if they didn't. They do not in any way represent the majority of Jews at that time, nor today.

Jesus was in fact crucified by Jews. The thing is, that they killed the people who were criminals or in Jesus' case "King Of The Jews" they were crucified. Jesus was not the only one to be crucified. You are right though. Jesus was killed because the romans looked at the jewish reliogion as "silly". And Jesus said he was from "God's Kingdom" and the Romans interpreted that as him beings the "King Of Jews". This is why he was crucified.

It was the jews that got the romans to crucify him. The pharisees were the religious leaders of the time among the jews. They paid Judas to betray him and blackmailed the romans into crucifying him. Rome is now a 'religious' place bacuase the emperor constantine adopted the christian faith and decreed that it was to be the official religion. But that was after they converted all their pagan festivals and gods into christian versions. Which is why the roman catholic church is actually full of so many pagan rituals.

No - in history, there was almost definitely no such person as Jesus. In the Gospels, on the other hand, the Romans did indeed crucify Jesus. And that had nothing to do with the Holocaust, although it is a mjaor cause of anti-semitism today.

I'm a Christian and I don't hate Jews (if anything, my heart goes out to them). We can't point to Jews as the ones who crucified Jesus. Our sins put Jesus on the cross. It had to be fulfilled, otherwise we could never be saved from our sins.
Hitler didn't kill the Jews because he believed they crucified Christ. He just hated them, period.
Rome is not the holiest city in the world. They just claim and pretend to be.
