No....That's stupid. I think people do it because of revenge and because of rep. People consider it like a win-lose. Whoever breaks it off is the winner and the other one is the loser. Otherwise it's like a battle. I think people who do that are stupid. There ar so many ways to get back at someone. Plus if the guy broke it up then there is lesser chance that the guy would want to get back with his ex.

Why bother? Move on and use all that energy to find someone who is nice. Don't spend all your energy on being the one who did the dumping? That's stupid.

No I wouldn't. Then I'd have to deal with him calling me all the time and whining all over again. I'm glad to finally be rid of him. He's the one that dumped me and he has to live with it.

no i wouldn't. there's a reason why he broke up with me. If he doesn't want to be with me, fine, i'm not going to waste his time, and i'm not going to waste mine, on waiting and being with someone who doesn't want me back. He'd only be leading me on if he stayed with me, when in his mind, he knows he doesn't want to be with me anymore.
i'm worth much more than that, and i deserve to be with someone who DOES want to be with me. ...and same goes for him.
I don't know why it's such a big deal on who broke up with who first, the point is, YOUR NOT TOGETHER ANYMORE!
it obviously didn't work out and you'll BOTH find someone who is worth your time.
