If it pays good, if the staff is nice, and if you like it.

Be whatever you want to be when you grow up just make sure that you enjoy it, not what others want you to be. It will be you going to do it everyday........... I am a stylist but I love what I do. I can't wait to get into the salon and style some hair.........etc, I could go on and on, but I have also worked other jobs and my advice is to just like what you do. Someone can call me right now for a hair style and I am going out the door to the salon. You want to feel that way about your job, if you don't you may need to keep searching. If you are seeking a certain profession it wouldn't be a bad idea to go to work with someone a couple of times and watch them to see if you would actually like it before you waste time investing into something you don't like. There are no limits with cosmetology though, you can make as much $$ as you want, have flexible hours, and it's a lot of fun.............

Do you already have a natural knack for fixing hair? Do you want it for the money or because you really enjoy it? Being a cosmetologist can be very rewarding and very demanding. The money actually is better after you own your own salon, it can be good if you work for a salon that pays on commission. If you have a strong feeling to do this it could be your calling, I was once told God gives us the desire to become a certain type of worker because that is where he can use us the most. Think about it and go for it.

If you enjoy it yes. You can make very good money and tips if you are good. Then again just to get your license you have to be good. The coarse cost about $12,000 and after that is the tricky part. It is when you get your license and is is hard for most. You need to know science and how to do things to an exact. The coarse and test have two parts which is theory and actual. Theory is book work and acctual is practicing on people and manicins Hope that helped you out.

Don't listen to people who say this kind of thing is for dropouts, losers, etc. When they say this, I want to ask them if they know how to cut their own hair, because successful people need to look good and you help them by giving them fashionable hair.

Yes, this is a good job, if it's what you want to do. As long as you're good at it (make sure you go to a good school for your training, because in this type of career, you have to be one of the best to make top bucks), then you will do well. My hairdresser, whom I've been with for almost ten years now, started out hopping from salon to salon renting booths and saving up, and now she has her own really awesome salon. It all depends on your training, talent, and if you save. Owning your own salon will get you the big bucks.

That is an admirable profession, I love my hair stylist. You can get your license and always go to college. The plan should be this, get your license, do hair to support your way through college while you are getting a business degree, that way, you can always open and manage your own salon.

Cool thing about being a stylist are all the interesting people you get to meet and the travels it may take you on.

If you really love styling peoples hair and your good at it, go for it, all though it may not be a high paying job. Ask your self this, do you want the job it self or money?

If you really comity your self to it go to all the hair show and Cary all the product.and know how to use them and the biggest thing is the location you get in after school.
one thing about it once you have that license in your hands you will always be able to cut hair even if you do decide to go back to school and do something else.
