It means you are not Jewish. It's probably not an insult (depending on his tone of voice and the context), he probably just meant that since you are not Jewish you wouldn't understand the situation.
There are lots of little traditions within the Jewish faith/culture, and if you are not a Jew you might not always understand why things are done a certain way, or why some things are really NOT done in that culture.
I don't think it was meant as an insult, but he could have put it in another way, or hell, he could have just explained himself instead of brushing you off like that.

Well, I assume your boss is a Jew then. Basically, anyone who is not Jewish is a Gentile. Depending on the tone of his voice, he might have been merely pointing out that you did not understand Jewish ways and the Jewish heritage. But yes, it could be an insult if the tone of his voice sounded like it.

Your boss is probably Jewish, and calling you a Gentile would be refering to that fact. Your boss may or may not be insulting you, depending on how he views non-jews and the way he said it (tone and all).

Sadly, in this case, the words are being used to put you down. They are not a credit to the person who said them.
A "gentile" is the term given to those not of the Jewish heritage or religion.
A person can be a Jew by birth or adopt Judaism as a religion. Perhaps you have not done either of these.
In any event you have the right to your dignity and beliefs.

Your boss must be Jewish. Gentile refers to people of non-Jewish decent. It wasn't an insult, more of a sarcastic remark noting that you didn't understand his question because you do not understand his culture

Gentiles are persons of non-Jewish persuasion, usually referring to Christians. In this case it seems like there may be a bit of reverse discrimination going on as he seems to think you can't understand a situation simply because you are not Jewish, which is as ridiculous as someone saying they wouldn't understand something because they are Hebrew!

Sounds like your boss is Jewish.
In the Bible it talks about the Gentiles.
When you receive Christ into your heart, you are no longer seen as a gentile.
For God knows no Jew nor Gentile, bond nor free, male nor female, we are all one in Christ.
Grace to you and God Bless!

It means that you do not follow the particular sect of Jewish faith that is followed by your boss.
Read some stuff about the Jewish Religion, or, why not ask your boss to explain so that you might learn something new and understand better...
I hope that helps!
