First of all...many acclaimed scientists have already "proved" it...Many events in history have gone hand-in-hand with stories from the bible. For example, there is actually more evidence to support God's Creation than there is of the Big Bang.
"The non-believer says, 'Show me God and I will believe.' The believer answers, 'Believe in God and he will show himself to you.'"
Seek and you shall find...Ask and you shall receive...these aren't just ancient words written by some religious fanatics. They are words of truth from God who loves everyone, whether they know it or not. "Finding Him" is as easy as talking to him...even if you don't know what to say. Be honest...tell Him you have doubts. That you aren't sure. If you keep up your end of the conversation and look for wisdom in the bible, answers will be provided for you.
The Lord really does work in mysterious ways. I answered you because I care. This is actually the first question I have ever answered. I literally just created my account so that I could answer your question. If you want a sign...maybe this is it.

Most of the bible is based on historical fact that can be backed up. Even atheists agree that some actual event must have led to the story of Noah's Ark.
In fact, they're almost sure of it. It is not just a christian thing. Every major religion has documented a flood around the same time. Geologists and Archaeologists disagree about the details, but nobody thinks it was made up.
So no, even the atheists are trying to prove it. It would just be seen like they see the rest of the bible...a historical document with some fact behind it.

Like the stories of many religions, many of the things in the Bible have some (if minor) basis in fact. The people who came up with the story of Noah probably based it in an actual event. I'd imagine it was not a world wide flood, but something of fairly large proportions. If a world wide flood were proven to have happened, I would merely think these people experienced it or carried on stories about it from their ancestors. These "God" explanations generally come about in a time of great suffering as an attempt to understand a mysterious and unpredictable event like a great flood. To take a normal, naturally occurring phenomena and attribute it to God passing judgment is a bit of a leap.

Yup, just like noah put like 5 billion species of animals and insects on his boat and sailed away and put all the animals in their correct position in the world. Give me a break. Did this flood create the grand canyon in a few days as well?

it would show there was a flood and thats it. a huge flood would no doubt get recorded and people often attributed things in nature to god, or gods when they didn't understand it. lighting strike your cave? oh you must have made the lighting god mad.
we can prove that lighting strikes things, this doesn't mean that there is a lighting god (though there could be..who knows)
but proving an event, does not prove any higher power, it only proves the event.
there very likely could have been a rather large area flood, or multi ones at different times which then made their way into the various religions.

For me your question is nonsense. We can prove Ice Ages or the hit of the asteroid but we can't prove a complete planet flooding. It's impossible that the life regenerates so fast. I'm sure that anacondas, kangaroos, cougars and humans from their continents are living happily when this local event occurs.

There's proof of all kinds of worldly calamities... floods, super volcanoes, massive asteroid collisions, background radiation from the horrendous kablooie that happened 15 billion years ago, the shifting of tectonic plates causing tsunamis/earthquakes, etc. etc. So what does proof of these geologic events prove, the existence of god or a creator? I don't get your logic.
Not only have these calamities happened in the past, its a geological certainty that they'll happen in the future.

I am sick to death of this holy "my faith is right" crap. Let me ask you something. Why do you blindly follow your single faith? From the beginning of time man has had gods. When he couldn't explain lightning and fire, he made gods. What the hell is that bright thing in the sky? IT'S THE SUN GOD!
Fast forward some years. Man now fully understands what lightning and fire and sun is. Whoops! We need a better god. Lets see. How about an all powerful one . Yeah that's it. No one can dispute that!
Uh Oh! Some other people are thinking the same thing. THEIR'S AREN'T REAL! ONLY MINE! Thou shalt be cast into the lake of eternal fire unless you believe in the one I made up!
Quit trying to shove that crap down everybody's throat...please.
Thank you.

The Book of Genesis says that Methuselah died at 965. His name meant "his death will bring forth". It was predicted that when he died, the flood would come. It came the year he died. When God told Noah to build the Ark, He said He would end all life in 125 years, the year of the flood. No, I don't think it was a coincidence.
