Haven't read all the rest of the responses - but to me, Jesus was an absolutely brilliant man - someone who saw through our reality and was able to interpret it in ways never imagined in his time... a genius.... a prophet... a man... but not the son of god...
I feel that if Christians actually followed his teachings, the world would be a better place... Are you a TRUE CHRISTian?... or just someone who believes what they've been told?
Me, I don't want to mislead, just trying to make you think... cuz I'm an atheist...

Marilyn, and I hope you're 12 years old, would you care to expand on this new truth and how your life is impacted? If Jesus is the truth and the way and lamb and son of god and light and the...you get the picture, how has any of that impacted you? Are you taller, maybe? Did your pimples clear up? Do you no longer want to stab your kitten?
Is live so bad that you'd rather let Jesus live yours for you than experience it yourself?
To answer your question, to me, Jesus is the greatest salesman who ever lived. He made more money for the church than any one man has ever made for any corporation. He sold more books than Stephen King, and he didn't write a single word. He is Don King and Houdini rolled into one. Not to mention the mass murders he inspired (Nothing like an Inquisition to really get those murder victim numbers up). So I guess he's also a little like Charles Manson (and Mason claimed to be Jesus Christ, as well). Yep, Jesus certainly has affected more lives than anyone I've ever heard of. So, go drop a buck in the poor box so that the Jesus can be their savior too. Of course, the church will have to get a little of the action, because if the money stops coming in, you're friend Jesus might just fade into memory like the "Where's the beef?" lady...

Someone who is all too often shoved down my throat. My oldest sister is bad for that, but I quit speaking to her exactly two weeks ago. She'll be leaving for church in nine hours. What a hypocrite she is! You believe you know the truth, but you may not really want to know it. My college textbook in Bible History lists many contradictions in the Bible, and so does a book Billy Graham gave me. The book from Graham glibly tries to explain them, but I don't find its excuses satisfactory. I've found more contradictions without looking for them. I know Science, so I know that the Bible is quite inaccurate scientifically. I could write a book about this. I have sent a series of letters to the editor on Bible Inaccuracies. I won't repeat that now.

JESUS. There is power in the name of Jesus. Savior, giver of eternal life, with him all things are possible. Redeemer because of him our sins are not only forgiven but forgotten. We are made children of a King and our inheritance is far greater then our minds can comprehend. We are more than conquers. If Jesus is for us who can be against us. If you believe you believe. Don't ever let anyone take your faith from you. there are plenty of haters and atheist in this world. Don't worry about them. Be blessed.
Do you know Him? He can save you from a fate worse than death. Hell.

Jesus was a guy who lived 2000 years ago who probably was a very revolutionary thinker. A rebel. A philosopher. His ideas were so dangerous to the established power structure that he was killed for them. Unfortunately, his followers have deified his memory and based an entire religion upon his legend.

He is my Lord and Savior. My elder brother and head over all things to the church. He is the son of the most high and worthy of all praise for what he did for us.

To me, Jesus was an apocalyptic prophet of 2000 years ago who incorrectly predicted that the end times were coming in his own generation. But he had a lot of good teachings nevertheless, and he was innocent and didn't deserve to be killed.
