u see. a few (like 4-6) weeks ago i was eating potato chips and a sharp end of one chip cut a little bit of my gum. now there's this small white spot on the spot where the chip cut and it burns when i touch it, it get's dry or i scratch the lip on it. what is this? is this a serious problem?

It may have gotten infected!!! Normally when that happens it'll just clear up in a couple days, but since it's been several weeks, it's got to be more serious. Go to the dentist asap!!! And be careful with those chips, they should come with a warning. ;)

Whenever I do stuff like that, listerene seems to clear up all problems. It now comes in blue color and mint flavor. If that doesn't work or if it gets bigger or in the way and you feel like spending the money then go to the dentist in person and tell them your concern and ask someone to just take a quick look.

the original cut may be infected. Go to the doctor or dentist.

May be a little infected. Have you tried rinsing with a mouthwash or warm water and salt? It may help a little.
