Have bought, have received and was told from someone I gave it to that is was "pretty damn strong.....this is the good sh*t!" from Seborasinth.

Also bought 'green fairy' from these people as a wedding present.

Had the best taste of the bunch and I got the gift set with the cup, spoon and absinthe.

Please be careful and enjoy!

I got absinthe from this site http://www.originalabsinthe.com/
I chose this site cause each bottle has reviews from other buyers, and seemed legit (was referred by Maxim Magazine). I got my bottle in about 2 weeks, no problems. I personally bought the original cause of the reviews. I would probably expect to spend $80+ for a decent bottle.

Was my first time, and I got what I hoped for. I gotta say though, that this stuff WILL KICK YOUR @$$ if not respected. Dilute it as recommended for best enjoyment, with ice water and sugar.
Some of my friends could not handle the strength or the taste, but then again they never heard of absinthe either. The rest of us got what we hoped for. My buzz is tough to describe (not harsh, pretty mellow), but I did not hallucinate... YET (bottle not done yet) ;)
Maybe next time I'll choose one with less proof (mine is 140!!!)

I'm wondering if anyone can comment on the color of the drink(some are emerald green and some are almost blue), any significance there?

Oh, and do not chug. >=)

A good friend of mine ordered authentic absinthe online through a site in Europe. Instead of the package being delivered to his mailbox, U.S. Customs called him to let him know that his package had arrived and he could pick it up at their office. He picked the package up at the office with no problem and took it home. When he opened it, he found his two bottles there but they had been emptied completely! I have heard that it's impossible for every single package to be scanned and picked off like his was, so if you are willing to take the chance of paying for an empty bottle, courtesy of U.S. Customs, your best bet is to go to European websites for links.

It's against the law in the states so you would need an underground website.Google that and see what pops up.

It's not illegal to purchase online.
