He told me I was the number one on his priority list and now i find out, it was just sweet talking, though he says he cares about me i just feel that he doesn't care enough....

i think that you should leave because if you are making him # 1 in your list he should make you # 1 if he wants to make it work, if it is just sweet talk then that is all it is and nothing more. you need someone that cares about you 100%!

Why don't you examine why you feel this way, and confront him about the issue you have questions about. It's better to do things this way than to be judgemental and make an assumption. That way, you'll know if it turns out you do have to break up with him, that you did the right thing; this will leave no room for doubt.

Trust your gut feeling! Since you've found out that he's just sweet talking, why still waste your precious time on him.. You'll find someone better, who'll put u in the 1st place...
