What Jesus taught is not automatically the same as what people who call themselves Christians decide the Bible says. People often make mistakes in reading the Bible and they might not be Christian just because they say so.
Jesus said Himself that he did not come to destroy the law, but to fulfill it. So in order to know what Jesus actually taught you should have a good basis in Torah first. Then you should learn Koine Greek and study the words that are believed to be those of Jesus yourself. Jesus did not need your preacher to tell the Apostles what he meant, why would he need your preacher to tell you what he meant?
This is hard work, but unless you have made attempts along these lines you cannot say you have even really tried to learn what Jesus came to this world to promote.

I will kept this short, the Christian message in a nutshell: God kept his promise in Jesus (the name Jesus means God helps/saves/delivers); Jesus is executed and God raised him from the dead; and Jesus will return. (the promote part of your questions)
1 Cor 10:23-24 are the restrictions for Christian. Quote all you like about other commandments (613) but they are the Israelites (Jews) restrictions; the Jews still observe the restrictions. (the virtue part of your question).
The bible is the word of God as spoken by the prophets; it is a tool for the believer.
So where is your belief will decide whether you accept or reject the Christian message.

Like all prophets before and after he came (or was sent) to promote the worship of GOD.. however some people are commiting blasphemy and are worshipping Jesus instead (or Budda or Mohammed or any of a long line of other prophets)

He came to promote all of the things that we already know in our hearts, God sent him to remind us and let us know that these morals and values are true. Im sorry, but I think after years and years of being around, the bible has been tampered with by man way too much. The true path is in our hearts because that is where God placed it.

You've limited yourself to either no answers or all answers that say exactly what you already believe.
Personally, I believe Jesus was just a person preaching like many other men and women at the time and Rome chose him as a token to start their 'religion' to gain political power.

To my understanding, Jesus came to promote the revolutionary idea of a personal God and universal brotherhood. What a radical!

There is a lot of hate in this world, and a lot of people use God and Religion as a means to hate and feel justified in doing so.
