I think we have the right to believe whatever we want. The article says that Malaysia will not recognize it when muslims convert but it doesn't force Islam on any one. Because the government doesn't reconize the conversion it unjustly refuses to allow that person to marry a non muslim.

I thought the artical was about something else. I remember hearing about muslim wemon in france who wanted to convert and were killed because converting out of islam is seen as an insult to Mohammed or the religion or something which is a big crime. (remmember the boycotts after the swedish cartoon) But someone still has the right to choose what they want to believe. They were killed unjustly.

The Prophet said, "Strike off the heads of all who change their deen." It cannot be more clear or less equivocal. To convert from Islam is to insult the honor of God, His Prophet and His message. So it is the duty of every Muslim to kill the one who does this.

Muslims view converting to Islam as seeing and accepting the truth and disbelieving thereafter as calling God and the Prophet a liar. So I sincerely urge anyone thinking of becoming a Muslim that it is not a light undertaking. You may not simply change your mind about it later like you change your mind about taking a ceramics class. You may think it's just another religion and you may think only the Islamists take changing one's deen seriously, but you would be utterly mistaken. Sweet little western Jesus people have no notion of hunting down and killing someone for leaving the faith. Well Skippy, Islam is not Presbyterian Sunday School.

Because when you have a religion not based on truth but on Jihad and submission (is that not what Islam means) then you have make it hard for people to leave. The worst thing the New Testament teaches Christians to do is to not allow people who will not repent of clear sin to be considered part of the church. They would then fall into the categories of enemies as in love you enemies.

Because the Extremist/Radical Muslim sects.. are not truly about love & faith.. & the free will to choose... It is pretty much like selling your soul if you join the Extremists. They will kill you before they let you change faiths. That is not Free Will that God gave us!
& Proves that not all (but a few) Muslims are peaceful & loving..
God Bless

it started when a group of people pretended to convert to Islam and then return back to their original faith just to shake the faith of those who believed in Islam. so God told Muhammad(P) about them.
