I guess these ANONYMOUS net forums can be an avenue for hostility.
I try to never say anything in writing or speech that I wouldn't also say to someone's face. It is how you judge one's integrity.

Mean is not cool but stupidly sarcastic, I understand.
Many reasons:
* They are not sure of the question.
* They don't know the answer and want 2 points
* They are TRYING to be funny
* They ARE funny
* The question was stupid
* The question is redundant. Look how many people ask, "Why is the sky blue". If they really wanted to know, why don't they save points and read the answers instead of asking it again.
* Sometimes the answer is SO obvious that the answer should be followed by, "Here's your sign."

My feeling on this is, most of the mean, stupidly sarcastic answers are writen by mean and stupid and stupid people. The possibility exists that these people's parents were A) stupid and sarcastic, and/or B) ignorant of the manners and courtesies that most children SHOULD be taught, subconsiously by example, at their parents knees. All you can do is remember your own manners, and try to ignore the impolite and don't sink to their level. Good luck!!

Probably because most people are kind of stupid and mean to start. But maybe because it's painful to see so many stupid and poorly spelled questions around here. Get a laugh from it. It's a less painful world that way.

I think there are more stupid, sarcastic questions than answers on this site. Some people just spam up the boards with nonsense.

If you can't feel superior because you have a wonderful, successful and fulfilling life, I guess you can try to feel superior by anonymously insulting strangers.
I can't relate, myself.
Just ignore the poor shlubs and have fun.

beacuse sometimes people ask stupid questions. and a stupid question deserves either a lame answer or a sarcastic one
