I think you need to consider a couple of things. Do you know what field you'd like to pursue? Do you/your family have the funds to do it?
My daughter will be 17 and graduate this year. I encourage her to do a 2-yr college and find out what she wants to do. It's hard to decide when you've never really worked.
Get your basics at a 2-yr college and work at a few places to decide what you like/don't like. Don't 'wait' to get your basics. Get your AA, get a job, and then go for the BA later when you're ready to decide what you 'want to be' (unless your heart is already set on a particular job). I think work experience is the best teacher in a lot of cases (but education is very important too).
At 17 it's hard to plot your life course, but don't put off the education...trudge ahead with a positive/winning attitude!
Good luck!

I think you should just continue, keep it rolling. Finish your education, what my dad calls your spine (without it you cant move). lol
Seriously just get on and done with it then you have all the time you need to do what ever you want.
Good luck
