Don't go as dark as brown. It's harder to adjust to darker hair than lighter. I darkened mine once, and within the week I dyed it back. It was hard to see myself as a dark blond/light brunette.
Try medium to dark shades of the same shade of blond as your natural color (golden, ash, natural, champagne...) Or go different and try a red. Look at the sides of the boxes if you are doing it yourself. The color on the front is what you are adding to your hair, not the final color. The side of the box shows approximate results. Since you are light blond, the color will change your hair faster than if it was a dark shade. A bright color will be very bright in your hair, and a dark one, very dark. Talk to a professional if you can. She can help you to pick a color, or combination of colors that will look great on you.

i ought to point a temp dye. I have used both one among those V V V products. they'll stay on your hair for some weeks and fade out... That way you may try, in case you don't love a colour, you received't might want to take care of it as long as perm colour.

Dark Blonde! Depending on how much red is in your skin depends on whether you go dark golden blonde or dark ash blonde. If you have redish skin, use the golden blonde.

you can go with carmel highlights, or light brown highlights, or get the streaks more lightened. the contrast would look great.
