ok i'm 13 and going into the 8th grade in a couple weeks this boy me and my friend really like is really hot. he's black and we're both white she's a blinde and i'm a brunette. we both ride the bus wit him and i always give my friends gum including him. but when i started giving gum and stuff away he would ask for a piece and i would give it to him but now i just go ahead and give him a piece with out him having to ask. he get's off at my bus stop sometimes and he lives closer to me. when we had class together we'd always talk and stuff. and he had this sparkle in his eye. but me and my other friend went to the football game and the other team didn't show so we automatically won. tht morning on the bus he ask me if i went to the football game and i told him yea i was there and his eyes lit up and he start to get this cute little smile on his face. neways he's kinda shy and does this means he kinda likes me or not really.......and do u think he'll ever ask me out.....

oh my gosh I'm 13 too and the same thing happened to me but in the end when i asked him he was like ewww no your juts my friend so yeah that was kinda a put down but anyways do you like him??? because if you do you know you could talk to him one day in lunch and say ummmm.... i kinda sorta like you but i would like to know if you like me in the same way because if you don't it's alright i just want to be sure of that... and see what his response is and if he say yes i like you and you never know but anyways good luck on getting the guy that you like!

I say you should ask him for his number as a friend. After sometime of talking on the phone to make sure you both have stuff in common then you should tell him you like him. Just be honest and say I like you and would like us to be more than friends one day. You never know he might tell you first. Only time will tell. I'm a not a parent but I would let my child date at 13. Face it kids are going do it anyway even if you tell them not too. Parents should have talks with their kids about what a relationship is and what made up of. Of course the sex talk. I would let my child boy or girl have a gf or bf and let the other child come over and go out. It was a person that was talking about the group dates...I think that is a great idea. But I use to work at a movie theater and all the young kids parents would drop them off and the young girls would met up with some young boys and go out in the back parking lot and smoke cigs and be making out. Parents need to have these talks with these kids about sex and relationships.
Don't rush into anything you still are a child and enjoy being one because the real world (The adult world) is full of stress and a lot of heartache and pain. Have fun being a child and I don't see a problem with you dating this boy as long as it doesn't go too far. Do not have sex trust me you will regret having it too soon.

well it sounds like he could like you but you never know with guys. All you can do is wait and see as far as the dating at 13 well I was when I was 13 I mean of course you have to have your parents drive you and you can't stay out late or anything but I look at it as you are a teenager almost in high school. I have a 3 month old son and I would let him.

13 is a little too young to start going on dates with a boy. I had to be 15. Plus, will the biracial part freak your parents out? Some night at dinner ask your parents these questions, that way you will be prepared when you finally start to date.

I think having crushes at your age, as I have a 14 year old daughter, is perfectly normal and healthy!!! Enjoy all of it, and especially those cute looks. However, if you think that it all means that he wants more than just friends, than I would say as a parent, don't go there! You are not old enough to handle having a b/f nor is he old enough to have a g/f! So I tell our teens, all 3 of them, that in time and there will be plenty of time, you can have relationships but wait until you are emotionally(and financially,lol)secure enough to handle it all. In the meantime, have lots of crushes, lots of friends and have fun! I honestly dated way too young, worried about thinking I HAD TO have somebody way too young, and so that's why my advice is, don't worry about it, it'll all happen. Just enjoy and have fun!

at 13 my daughter could only do group dating.. there were rules.. parents must pick them up and drop them off ... group must be equal girl to guy ratio and they were limited to going to public places... like the skating rink... bowling alley... movie theater...mall etc.... she was not allowed to date on her own until she was 15, and even then parents took her and picked her up... she could "car date" when she turned 16...
sounds like this boy likes you.. have you made him aware that you like him? if he is shy, and you dont make the first move, then chances are nothing will come of it... so step on up and tell him that you like him...

well he miight not ask you out but you can always ask him for his number and call him. i know itll be hard but i think that he will give it to you. and yes i am a mom and i dont know that i would let my 13yrold go out on dates but she could have a boy she likes come over whilew im there and she could talk to hin on the phone and even go to school dances although i would be the one to drop them off and pick them up. good luck to you

I think it's fine, of course, I'm not a parent... But I had my first bf when i was 13... my parents were fine with it... there were some rules, like I couldnt have him in my bedroom... and stuff like that...

he seems nice and it does seem like he likes you and no i would not let my 13 year old date i think 13 is too young just stay friends for awhile and don't have sex no matter what he says
