honestly simple answer is talk to your family members about your wishes...
I've told my kids I am DEFINITELY coming back to haunt them if they burn my body!!
If I am brain dead.... then unplug the machine and let nature take its course...buttttt if the brain aint dead.... I mean completely dead.... then I just aint dead...

Honey? Type up a pre-need. It is a documant that specifies your wishes, and guess what? By law, those wishes have to be carried out, no matter what. If you sign a pre-need agreement in front of witnesses and a notary public, those wishes have to be honored right down to the last deatail. And, not trying to be a smartass, but her name was Terri Shiavo. God bless you.

try this link, there are also living will fill in the blanks and other fill in the blank documents at the court house library. someone will help you find what you need and it costs a small amount, 15 cents maybe, to get a copy of the document. then fill it in. make sure and make copies and put the original in a safe place. you can register some of them at the courthouse as well. find out which ones from the same library attendant. make sure and get this stuff notarized.

I don't know if you really need a lawyer, but as a probate attorney's daughter, I would highly recommend going to one.

I get suicidal sometimes, so I discuss wills and things with my lawyer and funeral arrangements with the funeral home director.
