(Whistle...) nice avatar, I forgot the question!
1. If amnesty is granted, I'm headed for Las Vegas Casinos (socially); I will continue my public office, serving politically in my state.
2. If the borders are closed and mass deportation is conducted, I will buy a transit company!
The next issue to address is the fall out of the amnesty decision: labor department is in for some hellish rude awakening; it will affect the real estate market in unskilled labor; and the immigration department will work 24/7!
The Minute Men will have to deal with the coyotes flying helicopters doing human drops! Americans will consume less calories as they will not be allowed to eat while they cook and wait tables. We should see a drop in weight and better health!
The new Administration will quickly outsource the good jobs and home grown vegetable gardens will flourish; or we'll all go to Disney world and help keep their sidewalks immaculate! And, yes, all the American trades will be busy finishing up NAFTA.

1. I do not believe that Amnesty will be granted, at least I can still hold on to that small glimmer of hope. I believe that "We The People" will have a greater impact on this issue in November than most expect, issues, not political party lines will be voted this election year. Socially, I will continue to make these people know that I do not welcome them. I have a right to express my opinion and political beliefs publicly, I will continue to do so. If the problem remains, my convictions wont change.
2. I dont think that the borders will be "closed" any time soon, We are hoping for some much needed border security in order to protect American citizens from criminals and terrorists. I personally do not want an isolationist society. Mass deportations? Get real, THAT will never fly and we both know that. The number of deportations will increase until the issue is settled in the collective American mind then it will be back to business as usual.
3. NEXT! getting American youngsters home from "over there", in fact that should be a higher priority than this immigration reform crap. oh, yeah, fighting the Americans who want to tax casino dollars is an ongoing issue with me. Gotta have those casino bucks! FREE MONEY!

1. I would fight against the amnesty being granted. I doubt it will, since a majority of legal American voters are against it. But I never thought about if it was granted. I don't know what I would do.
2. The next important issue would be from a long list of things - the war, the American Citizens that are homeless and/or living in poverty, education and getting the schools up to snuff, Social Security and what is going to happen there. . . Take your pick. I think that there is enough to occupy the time of everyone. This country is far from perfect.

If amnesty is granted... then it is how it is.... what should be the political and socially fallout from this. I would most likely find out who voted for amnesty and vote against the individual in the next elections if he or she was from my voting area.
I think this issue is important enough to not think about the next one. It will come only to soon.

1. Work to enact laws that ensure the next wave of illegals isn't treated so nicely. Ensure that our new legal friends are treated fairly, learn to assimilate to the US, and understand that while I speak Spanish, my family doesn't and they need to speak in English. (being the popular and recognized language of America)
2. In either an amnesty or deportation end, our next most important issue is the continuing unrest in the Middle East. I'm not saying send troops, but the world is rallying for our help...... and I know they've been rallying for our heads in Iraq, but hey, danged if we do, danged if we don't.............. all in all, I'm a doer.

1. The illegals should be banned from America totally...Forget the amnesty. They snuck in here illegally so they should pay by never coming back.
2. When the borders close, I believe the next step would be to get all these lazy bums off thier @$$e$ and back to work. We need to worry about our own before we worry about other countries and their starving population.

1. Encourage voting out any representative who voted for this.
2. Make sure the borders are completely closed so they don't come back again.

1. I will stand firmly against (as i do now) against this bi-lingual crap we must endure. Socially, it would be open crap-kickin season on anyone who will not speak to me in English when I know full well they can.
2. Keep Hilary out of office. I don't mind either women or democrats in the white house, JUST NOT THAT ONE! On top of the fact we should teach everyone who already don't speak English to speak it.
Sorry, but if we went to a country where they speak Spainish, we would be expected to learn Spainish to get by. So it isn't being mean, but rather doing on to others as they would do to us.
Also, if they like it so much where they are from, why not stay there rather than coming here and changing it to be like there?
