Or rather IS there a right religion? I'm really confused about that. Should I just give in to one and decide that what they're saying is correct? And as for Christianity, which way should I go, should I be a Jehovah's Wittness or a Catholic? Please help me out.

If you seek God with all your heart, He will be found. It's not about religion, it's about relationship.

Whatever syncs with you and your journey -- a journey that seeks to reduce the self and ultimately have direct experience of the divine. I looked into Hinduism, Buddhism (Tibetan and Zen), Christianity (Catholicism, Quakers), and A Course in Miracles. All of them can be used either to reduce or promote your ego/self -- therefore, the answer to 'what is the right religion' is really HOW YOU use a particular religion. E.g. St John of the Cross and Meister Eckhart -- both Christians -- experienced god (had an enlightenment experience). Rumi (Islamic Sufi) experienced enlightenment, too. Of the ones I pursued, I found that given my Christian background and my thoughts, I liked 'A Course in Miracles' and Zen Buddhism, with the former being my main path. I find the two say the same things in different form and that the Course in Miracles gives a different form of the mind-training path that helped me. But this is just me -- whatever syncs with you and speaks the truth to you is best. Note that for Zen, I'd recommend reading '3 Pillars of Zen' and, if you happen to be near New York, going to Zen Mountain Monastery for their 'Intro to Zen' weekend. For the Course in MIracles, I'd recommend reading the book (I found it very very difficult) and then, if it syncs, doing the lessons and when more understanding is needed, get the material from Ken Wapnick. Many in the Course community are misinterpreting it to support an ego perspective and Ken's work is the best that avoids this stuff. For Christianity, I find that I like Unitarian Universalists -- very open and accepting but it may be too liberal or unstructured for your taste. If you choose Catholicism, there are some very good churches that concentrate on the Love of God -- this is paramount. Good luck.

Before you make a decision on what is right for you pick up the Bible and read the New Testament. Read it through til you get to the book of Revelation. Stop and put it down then think which religion would Jesus choose. No one can tell you which religion to choose. Only you can make that choice. If the religion you choose does not go along with what you have read find another til you find the one that goes with the Bible. There are a lot of Modern translations out there that makes it simple to read and understand. Plus the Internet has many free publications of the Bible in many languages.

all religions have similar teachings about love , respect, peace, etc. YET, we must look at the supporting evidence for each religion> christianity has the Bible, which is 27% PROPHETIC containing thousands of prophecies> the bible definitley gives christianity an advantage as the "true" religion> I would suggest becoming a catholic, for the reason that the early christian church decided interpretation of the scriptures. Most christians believe Jesus is God since the early third century, while J.W. think that Jesus is the archangel michael since the 1800s, J.W. theology can be easily refuted by studying scripture> wnat to know more email me or IM me>

It is not RELIGION that is important to God. Rather it is all about FAITH in Him and accepting what His word (the Bible) says and having a personal relationship with Him on a daily basis. The more time you spend with someone who cares about you the better you get to know them - it true here too! As for a correct religion, well the different denominations developed because of the different interpretations of the Bible and each denomination has chosen to stress certain aspects in the Bible over others and observe the teachings of the Bible a little differently. The important thing is that you get the main message from the Bible and that is God Loves us very much and sent his Son Jesus to die for our sins and accept this on faith. The book of John in the Bible, chapter 3 verses16-21 sums up the main message of the Bible.

I think all religions are good, and will help mankind to live a better life. But if there is a "one and only" true religion that is organized and directed by God himself, I think it can be narrowed down by following certain criteria:
1. It must claim direct revelation from God.
2. It must claim the power and authority of God.
3. It must claim to be the only true religion.

I suggest praying that God will guide you in the right direction, or that he will send some messengers to teach you. Good luck.

As a roman Catholic, I am inevitably going to urge you to accept Jesus the right way.
Jehova's witnesses teach a lot of strange things, and they are always making prophecies that rarely come true. They justify them in hokey ways, such as one time, there was a prophecy that Jesus would return (it was sometime in the early 1900's). When the world didn't end, they said he came down from heaven and is now the head of the Watchtower council.

I'm tellin' you: Catholic (Roman or Melchite, doesn't matter) is the way to go.

All religion is man made. God is not into religion. However, I am not saying that you should not believe in God. Romans 10:9 and 10 is a great starting point. Once you literally act on it you will see the truth of god in your heart and he will guide you to the right path for him. And where it says confess the lord it means confess Jesus Christ as lord.

you don't have to choose any religion, it up to you. I'd don't believe in god or any other religion. But if you live in fear, need protection, I prefer christianity or buddhist. 2 of the most popular religion there is. It doesn't matter if you choose to have a religion as long if you know what right and wrong.. and know good cause and effect.. you will be great.. you don't have to follow others... find what special in you. Think about it first.

Of course there is a right religion. And, much to the dismay of all these other people who will tell you it is what ever you want it to be, it isn't. If it were would we have a just God? If he made rules and laws without expecting us to be obedient, what kind of God would he be? Whether or not it is the popular way to think, there is a right and wrong, there is sin and no sin, there are consequences for our actions, good or bad.

We all have our free agency and if you really want to know which religion is true then pray about it, ponder it in you heart and your Heavenly Father will give you the answer you need. Yes there is one true church, you'll find it if you truly seek.

Great Question my friend. There is only one true religion and seems were trying to all find it. I read in the Bible where it says that by there fruits you will know them. This means are they following all Gods words to the best of there abil;ity ? Is the teaching all in unity ? These are important questions in looking for the truth . Search out the scriptures to find all your answers. You will find it if you really search out and ask God to help you.
