I have been to Placerville California many times, nice historical town in Northern California. It is also known as Old Hangtown, and is an old Gold Rush town. Applehill is just a few miles outside of Placerville and a great place to visit in the fall. Lots of Apple farms which have special events.

Ya ive been to placerville when y car broke down on the way to Tahoe. Its a small Old town. They have haunted hotels or i tihnk just 1 that used to be a hostel or something. They have a good Bagel shop there!

Lived in Cameron Park, (7 years) which is about 10 miles down the hill from Hang-town AKA Placerville...... So Yes I have been there. What do you want to know....

Yes, HangTown California. If you eat there be sure to try Hangtown Fry. I used to live in Placer County many years ago. Visit the nearby town of Coloma where gold was discovered. And travel on Hwy 49. It is slow but very historic and goes through many of the old gold towns of the gold rush days.

Yes, buzzed right through town on the super highway.....with it's 4 stop lights. Use to go to Kyburz on on up to South Shore. Beautiful country but can get HOT.
