I need help. I need somebody to give me an excuse to stop loving the guy I love. He doesn't return my love, and he's my best friend, but he brings me to tears almost every night, just because I know nothings gonna happen between us, and sometimes if he's in a bad mood, he'll say stuff that hurts my feelings, even if he doesn't mean it to. I need a reason to stop loving him, because loving him is killing me. Please help. IM me or email me for details if you need them.

Him not returning your love is a good reason to stop loving him and also his verbal abuse.
You do not need and excuse to stop loving him
. First it starts out as verbal abuse, and then the next thing you know he is slapping you and pushing you around.
Typical excuse from an abuser I didn't mean to do it, I was in a bad mood.
If you had a child and every time you were in a bad mood and you hurt your child, would it be alright because you were in bad mood? no it would not.
Leave the jerk, Stop being his friend. Why would he return you love, when he knows that you love him so much. He thinks you will never leave and always be friends with him.
Take it from a women who has been in your shoes. It all starts as verbally abuse, once want out, he is sorry and does not mean it, because he was in a bad mood.
He does not love you, and if he was going to love you , he would have loved you by now.
He is abusing and using your friendship I can you say the two of you are friends. You are the friend. He is not returning any friendship
. If you do not end this now, you may end up following a pattern of being with more abusive men in the future
. You are bright strong, intelligent person. You deserve more, you deserve better. You can find better.......
You have taken the first step, buy seeking help and the advice from others. I am not sure how old you are. But please do not continue this one side relationship. You deserve better.
If you need to see professinal adive. Do not give him a reason as to why you are ended the frienship. He will then only play the victim and beg for your sympathy and say how sorry he is...

How can someone who brings u to tears every night and doesn't return your love be your best friend??? With friends like that, who needs enemies. He sounds sadistic and cruel. This is a very hurtful and self-destructive relationship for you to be in. You need to get out of it now and never look back. This person doesn't care for you. Your a mat to him----a rug he can shi* on.

if you truely love him there is no excuse that can make you stop loving him. sounds like he is the one who isnt in love with you. best to let him go and move on. no ecxuse can stop him from hurting you. only you can stop it by not seeing him and let him hurt you over and over. my guess is he does it because he knows he can and he likes the control he has over you. he knows no matter what you are gonna be there for him. put a stop to it. show him the control trip is over. if you dont he will hurt you as long as you will let him. move on, you deserve better. good luck!!

Keep telling yourself that you deserve better because you do.
A so called love like that you don't need.
Love comes and love goes, why spend your life unhappy when you know that you can always find someone that would love you in return. He's not the last man in the world. You deserve better. Life is too short, why waste it on someone who can't value you. Take it from me, I married someone like that for 14 years and I can't turn back time. Please don't regret it like I did.

You already have a reason to stop loving him...If someone loves you they would never hurt you. He has control over your emotions and he knows it. Get away fast before the pain becomes unbareable for you....There is someone out there for you who will love you as much as you love them. Trust me because I have been down this road before....

maybe if you open up yourself a lil more & let him know that he's hurting you that way, then maybe he'll ease up or open his eyes or whatever. you might wanna spill your feelings so that he can better understand the situation & change his ways to change that situation. then you wouldn't have to stop loving him. but i mean if you really wanna...then ok, let him know he's been hurtin you & leave/dump him
