I already had the detergent in, but I did not use bleach for this one. I thought that there was a chance I could have more problems than I currently have as a result of eating a detergent saturated sandwich even if the detergent was well dispersed throughout a large amount of water when I dropped the sandwich.

I know that many detergents are not safe to drink or pour in your eyes directly from the bottle in such a concentration, but perhaps they are safe in small concentrations as they are used for clothes! I was just wondering what to do if this should ever happen again...

It's ok as long as you put it in the dryer first. Probably the DELICATE cycle............

Simple i agree with the first girl. Also it wont happen again if you don't eat around the washing machine. What kind of sandwich is it for you to want to risk getting sick. What did you want to wash it down to drink with some fabric softner!!Yum,I think your best bet is to eat first and then do the laundry. You answered your own question when you put,"I know that many detergents are not safe to drink".You said the detergent was well dispersed but how do you really know that.Who would want to eat a soggy sandwich anyway. You must have been starving!

As different posters stated attempt to no longer overload the washer OR use too a lot detergent.... if you're uncertain run the rinse/spin cycle a 2d time to be confident that there is not any more effective cleansing soap residue on your clothing... For me in my opinion because laundry detergent is more effective intense priced now that that's concentrated i exploit a million/2 the suggested volume and to that I upload a million cup of baking soda to my washloads... My clothing is cleanser and scents clean and that i exploit way a lot less detergent...

It probably won't seriously harm you. As for wondering what to do if it should ever happen again. Well, unless you like the flavor of Sandwich a la Soap, I would pitch it or give it to the Furby to eat. :-)

Sure why not. As long as the sandwich is still recognizable as a sandwich. If its not going to be good, you'll just vomit and go on your merry way.

Hmmm... I think you should just put it in one of those toaster ovens so that it won't be soggy and then you should be fine. You drink more dangerous stuff in a swimming pool, no?

Isn't your sandwich soggy? If you like soggy sandwiches then why not? If you're hungry, you're hungry right? Got to eat!!!
