He spends alll day outside shooting his gun, killing stuff. The only way he stops is if he runs outta of pellets. He killed off our rabbit population, I don't see any squirrels around any more, and the birds, you would think they flew south!! Is this normal???

well if he just got the gun i would think its a faze where he think it cool to have the power but he well stop soon cos soon enough he well get bored of looking at dead thing and of killing things but if he continues with this behaviour say in a but 3 month sit him down and talk to him find out y do dose it and if he really like killing stuff that much enrol him in the army where he would not get to kill thing everyday and he would learn the value of life as well anyway i hope thing go well and it should be just a boy false too

No, statistics have proven that children who torture animals or kill them go on to kill human beings as well.

It doesnt take a genius to figure that out.

What kind of parents would put ANY KIND OF GUN into the hands of children? Sheesh...someone put that kid into organized sports or read a book to him.

No get him to stop.. throw his gun away. I'm not sure what its like where you are but here in Australia is about $20000 fine for any wildlife you kill with out a permit

sounds to me like suppressed anger, rage, hostility, etc. which can be the byproduct of an unhappy, or traumatic childhood. if he had been raised in love and compassion, he might be hunting animals to appreciate and love!
i was something of an animal hunter/killer in childhood and have since found that i was raised in horrible hostility and unhappiness by very unhappy parents.
i could have easily become a real killer or very enthusiastic/bloodthirsty military guy like some we see in our own military!
he may need some therapy or counseling before he moves on to bigger and bigger 'kills'.
