I have looked all over online for signs of this, but have only found things regarding children or animal cruelty in general, nothing specific to animal molestation.
The other day, my friend told me something seemed "wrong" when she walked into her basement and saw her Father with his beloved dogs sitting on his lap. She said her Father seemed surprised to see her and looked uncomfortable or awkward. She said he had a blanket on his lap for the dogs to sit under and that she should have been ok with that, but for some reason, she had a weird feeling he was allowing the dogs to do something else under the blanket. My friend told me this and cannot explain why she feels this way at all. A few days later, she came to me again and said that one of those dogs had begun scooting her butt along the floor lately and she was worried that perhaps more had taken place. Now I'm worried. I told her she should take them in to the vet for a physical check up. Any obvious exterior signs to look for?

I told her to look for tearing of the skin or bleeding. I cannot believe her Dad could ever be capable of something like this, but as I am an animal activist, I also know there are many people out there who surprise us. My friend seems to think her Dad allows the dogs to lick him. This is sick and we are both worried over it as there can be no proof of that, if that is what is happening. If there is more happening, that would be obvious, right?
If the licking thing is the only thing happening, what can we do?
How can we prove he is doing that?

Please don't dismiss this as a joke.
It isn't.

I'm sorry I don't have any links for you, but I have to say I feel you may be overreacting. Many pets sit in peoples laps. Also, the main reason I know of for dogs 'scooting along the floor' is ... how to put this... because they don't have toilet paper...
And remember, innocent until proven guilty!

Unfortunately, this sort of thing does happen. If there is any chance that you and/or your friend could "take the dog for a ride" or a "walk" and get it to the vet, that's your best bet. Make sure to honestly explain to the vet, like you did on this site, what you think has happened and why.
There are some sick people out there, and animals are all too often a target.

I remember seeing articles about this type of abuse happening to other dogs.

Dragging of the butt on the floor is usually a sign that the dog has worms - take them to the vet and tell the vet what you suspect (without naming people obviously) that way he/she will look for specific signs.

I have small dogs, 3 of them, my husband has the smallest one on his hospital bed all the time under his blanket...He didn't wear underwear, just jogging pants, and they were always down by his knees, I saw My Ava Mae licking his genitals, I told him Do ot DO that to her, he was laughing saying she liked it....that is sick, he watched porn too, don't know if he did it to himself and the dog licked his sperm off clean...I think this is what happened, he and I are getting a divorce and he wants a dog, NO NO. he is not getting my dogs to satify his sexual needs....Ava Mae is ver small, she was always, always under his blanket Licking and He Loved it....

this is a very serious matter. direct confrontation is the most important in this case, to make the sexual predator realize the consequences of his actions, bringing it up jokingly is a good tester if you dont want to ask directly, just mentioning "i'd rather **** a dog!" or something like that and laugh in a joking situation where it is semi-appropriate, can usually provote an embarassed reaction in these people because they normally know how greatly embarassing it is. for scale size, it's like sticking a quart beer bottle in your )#%$U)#(%, if he's doing this it is ritual torture and not to be tolerated.

A dog rubbing it's butt on the floor is not indicative of abuse. However if you notice the dog is getting skittish of people, particularily of the person you suspect of abuse then that's a better reason to suspect something. There is no "particular" sign of sexual abuse as opposed to other physical abuse.

Consult your vet! Even vaginal smear may also confirms the presence of human sperms.
Even sometimes, the hairs around your dog's genitals might harbor the dried semen with dead sperms. Subjecting them into test wil confirm whether your dog underwent bestaility or not...
