well if it is one of those box batteries and you touch the two things on top with your tonge you will get a shock. but normal batteries wont do anything

Your eyes light up with the words, "I have way too much time on my hands". Either that or you'll get a slight shock, but considering the fact that batteries contain an acid that can burn you, it's just not a good idea.
Suck on a Tootsie-Pop, preferably the red ones, and maybe read a book.

You could be poisoned by the chemicals in the battery.

you would get a shock from a 9V if you touch your tongue to both connectors. Otherwise, as long as the battery doesn't leak I guess it would be ok, just not prolonged.
