Hmmm, what do I want to be when I grow up? I never had ambitions of a career. I worked different jobs, working for a Doctor, hairdresser, etc. But I only ever wanted to get married and have kids. I did and I have two. I divorced him but many many years later found the man i should of married first and we are happily married now. I am a stay at home housewife even though kids are grown and gone. My husband works hard so i can stay home due to back problems. I wouldn't change one thing about my life now.

When I was 16 years old, my friend was murdered while working at a gas station. Apparently, the 15 and 13 year old kids panicked after they had robbed the place and left, so they came back and shot him in the head 2 times. While this was devastating for me, I thought about those 2 kids who were not much younger than myself. I thought about their lives and the things they had lived through and what made them behave that way. I decided that if I could help ONE child, just one, then I might be able to save a life in the future. So, I worked at a treatment center for a while, then I worked at a Juvenile detention center. Now, I work with at risk teens. I teach them social skills and behavior management skills. I love it, it is very rewarding to watch them grow into young adults. Someday, I am going to win the lottery so I don't need to work anymore.

I wanted to be a nurse or court stenographer. I married, had two children, and became a client service representative. I'm 57 now and retired so I know one of the two things I wanted to do when younger will not happen, however, I'm very satisfied with how my life work went.

I wanted to be a veterinarian. My major was Zoology in college until I took Microbiology and Biotechnology. Well I do have a B.S. in biology, but I would rather work in a lab now. Working towards that and a master's degree.

I wanted to be an architect. I'm now graduating college and about to go to grad school for international relations.

My views about what I wanted to do changed radically in college. And I'm sure they'll change again once I'm in grad school and again when I leave grad school.
