Yes you can but it can be expensive. You have to look for data retrieval services in the yellow book or busness pages. It can cost as low as $100 or more if it is a lot. Or you can look on the internet and see if they have software to retrieve it which they have. There is a saying that just because you delete something doesn't mean it's gone forever. I have a degree in computer networking so I know a little. Good luck.

if you have the software and know how, you can retrieve files until the space they were written on is over written by new files

you can get software for as low as 40.00 that can do it if you want to learn how. You can completely erase the data if you want by doing a low level format, writing zeros to the hole drive, then everything is gone. and then the drive is cleanand usable, but your files can not be retrieved.
I do this for my clients all the time, if you don't care about the drive, and wnat it clean, drill a hole through it, it will shatter the disks

I agree with Butchell. When you delete a file, it is only removed from the directory. If the exact space is not overwritten with new data, an expert could retrieve data.

This is professionally done and it is very expensive, but it can be done.

If you want to dump your computer, remove the HD and smash it.

yeah. All you opt for for is a competent archives retrieval application. there are various available. once you reformat a working laptop or computing gadget it is strictly like once you delete information out of your hardrive. the archives isn't thoroughly deleted and can be retrieved in some style or yet another till they are written over with different archives.

data can recovered from a formatted disk. If nothing has been written to the disk subsequently, the success rate can be high also.
