The trains carry the trees through Grand Central Station. So the trains are heavier.

I believe the trains is the correct answer. US currency is made of a rag based paper using linen so there isn't as much paper pulp in money.

I'm going to take a stab at where the question came from and guess the "where's george?" website?

the answer is both way the same, both weigh nothing. US currency is cloth, not paper, so no trees are cut down. Also, no trains pass through Grand Central Station, they go in to Grand Central Terminal, and they don't go through, Grand Central Terminal is the last stop. Riddle is from "Inside Man"

The trains weigh more...US currency isn't made from trees (or paper). US currency is a kind of fabric, right? And as far as where you got the riddle, did you make it up?

Since I don't know I'll have to guess. I will say the trees and that you got the riddle from the U.S. Mint.
