India is and will be a superpower, but I believe that if somebody would control Asia, at least economically, it would be China. I mean if we look at China, it is a booming economy. Having been opened up more since Mao's reign, China has been very active in the global market. China is a major exporter of the world. If we look at our items here in the USA, we would most likely find ''Made in China''. Also, with China having the greatest population, and controlling a big landmass, it has the manpower and space to build factories and agriculture, and other items of the sort. These factors also contribute to it being a great power in Asia military and population-wise.

no india is a poor country they dont have enough money to feed there people they have no where money or resources to control the whole asia, if any one it will be china. and besides india and pakistan are mutual enimes they would rather have a nuclear war (since they both have nuclear weapons) then let each other controll the whole asia

I don't think so. India has so much unbelievable poverty that they would really have to come a long way in the domestic department before they could even begin thinking about taking over the rest of asia.

Not unless they share with China, but I do see india's gloabl influence and status rising in the next decade. I also see a lot of problems for that nation with the ethnic tensions within their nation (especially Sri Lanka) and between them and Pakistan.
