A little hard without photos, dimensions and how many rooms....

Here's a thought:
Do your living room in nautical, using red, white and blue. The oak planks will really help with the "feel." Photos of lighthouses, life rings, fish netting on a major wall would help tie it all in.

If your kitchen area is open to this living room, pick a two color combination from it. Like red and white for instance. Retro small appliances are very into bold colors and look really great on counters. Red & white stripes for table cushions, placemats would really be a nice accent. Buy or make simple rod pocket curtains for the kitchen and make a valance with linen napkins folded over to make triangles. This would look a little like ships flags.

Other rooms can be: blue & white with a water/ocean theme. Photos of dolphins, sea shell lamps, etc..

A retro bedroom would be fine if that's what you like. If you have a master bath off this bedroom consider removing the door into the bathroom and hanging a bead curtain. I'd also consider old-fashioned shades for the bedroom windows with bead curtains!! Very KEWL!!

Hope this helps.

Oak Walls Are So Hard To Decorate! I Couldn't Even Tell You What To Do! As For The Nautical Stuff, Do That In The Bathroom! Since The Bathroom Already Has Water In It, (Toilet, Sink, And Tub) Stay With That! Put Nautical Stuff In The Bathroom.

In The Kitchen, Do Grapes Or Apples. Or Even Sunflowers!

I have always like making each room theme a different country... your nautical stuff will fit well in the bathroom where you can add an ocean effect with fish nets and sea floats and shells hanging from ceiling Kitchen is fun in mexican or italian design for bright and cheery colors Oak paneling can be utilized with a rustic look such as you would find in a mountain cabin

Best to look at many magazines, tear out all pix that you like and compare them. See what appeals to you. Choose most expensive items first - such as carpeting or couches, then go on to less expensive details like paint, lamps, etc so if you make a mistake, it is not unchangable. Enjoy - don't get scared. It is just decor.
