Do I ever sympathize with you over this decision. In all fairness to the pet, the best thing for her right now is to be living in a home where there is someone present a good portion of the day and where someone can work on training her. I don't know how you have time to give the training a fair chance. Right now your schooling takes up a good share of your time and you have to look out for yourself right now too! As hard as it may be, maybe you can find a good home for her and when things slow down a bit for you a new pet possibly can be gotten.

I don't think I would keep her in that situation but you are making an amazing effort to keep her happy. A lot of dogs live in worse conditions. Maybe you could get family or a friend to take her on a nice long walk a couple days a week or you could even hire a dog walker. It must be hard on you to come home and do that through the busy day. When I was a young teen I used to spend time with my neighbors dogs when she couldn't. I even had a key to her house. If you could find someone you trust like that, it would be ideal. Good luck!

it sounds like you really love her and are trying your best. i think you sound like a good owner and she is happy. she knows you are in a new situation (congrats on that) and that the dust hasn't all settled yet. you both will get into a routine soon enough and then it will be ok. until then, maybe if you have a friend who can stop by to play with her for a little bit during the day that might be a nice choice. otherwise it sounds like she has everything she needs. she is still young enough to get the concept as well that maybe put a travel sized litter box in the crate (she'll stay small enough) and she can relieve herself in there.

Well you probably are with your pet more often than most owners. Even though you're gone all day, you make the effort of going to see her twice a day and you praise her and everything. You're even getting her trained.
I think that you are a very responsible pet owner and you deserve to have your sweetheart.
If the both of you are happy, well that's all that counts right?

I would keep her. It seems to me that you have done a very good job on taking care of your puppy. A lot of people work for longer hours and they wont come home and take the dog out during their break time. If you are worry about her not getting enough exercise and companion, you can hire a dog walker or have your friends or family to come over take care the dog while you are at work.

I have a 7 year old pom. He is my best friend. I take him everywhere, if I am allowed.
I too am single, but my little fellow came to me many years after i left my (socalled) relationship.
It is good that you crate her, training her shouldn't be too difficult.
Do you have an answering machine. Call it a couple of times a day and talk to her.
I guess what I am saying is that you should keep your puppy. She is probably attached to you and she will be company. Sde doesn't care too much about her surroundings just how much you love her.

It seems you are really trying to make life great for her and honestly it sounds like better treatment then a lot of pets. I would keep her, she'll help you get through the tough times and when things get better you can lavish her with more attention.
Hang in there.

It sounds like you're doing a very good job with her. Keep up the good work.
Keep her. And, if it's in your budget, and if you can find someone you TRUST with her, maybe they could help you out a little, by letting her out or playing with her.
Good luck.

Hey, you are doing your best, providing everything she needs. Nothing wrong with her being crated. You two are a team and can make it together. Keep her, she is your best friend.

I would suggest that you find her a home where she can get more attention. It is easy to see that you love your dog, but I know you want what is best for her. She needs more attention than you can give at this time.
