Spirituality has little to do with religion...and more to do with the soul. It encompasses the beauty and spirit of a loving Divine Being. It's something you feel deeply...inside you...and it makes you a better person. It helps you to get in touch with yourself and those around you. When you meet a deeply, spiritual, loving human being...you know it...you feel it. You understand more...you become more tolerant...and you learn to forgive. It speaks to you in ways that has little to do with your eyes or ears...it speaks to your heart and your soul. God Bless You.

the term is too general. You need to determine if a person is a real born again Christian, not just 'spiritual' There are lots of phonies out there who can act spiritual and be devils in private. Does the person live for God in secret when no one is looking? Does he read the Bible, Does he pray, does he love people.? Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

This is how it was explained to me:
Spirituality is the ocean. Religions are various types of containers (aka Christianity is a tea pot, Muslim a vase, Buddhism a bucket or whatever have you) all holding the same water, from the same ocean. They may look a little different, but in the end they hold the same substance.

if our minds can make up this world, we can surely make up a spiritual world> we can't really prove anything beyone our thoughts, even our own bodies> with this in mind the spiritual world is real because we think about it and are inter-connected w/ God> A spiritual person looks beyond the material world and tries to find the spiritual realm via meditation, yoga, prayer, etc> peace.

Spiritual person believes in a Supreme being, in good and evil, and is very interested in the afterlife. It is not specifically religious, because it is still "searching for truth"
To recognize them, you start the subject about afterlife, and see if they bite. I would definitely.
Are you conected? If you agree on the subject, than you are.

Spirituality if like upper level math; very few ever understand it. Explaining it is like explaining color to a blind person....You have to personally experience it to begin to understand, and if you ever meet a truly spiritual person, you will know there is something profoundly different about them.

If you are into your own spirituality, you'll know whether someone else is. And, believe me, you'll know if your spirituality is real or some role-playing you're doing. God Bless you.

I think I'm spiritual.......for me it's a feeling of being connected to other living things and to the world in which I live.
This for me is has nothing to do with "religion" which I don't believe in at all.
