what is limewire?

Not safe, but no matter what you use, scan the file's downloaded FIRST with a Anti-Virys program before opening them!!!!!

I do not recommend using Limewire or Kazza or P2P programs because they ALWAYS contain spyware / adware and I have repaired many computers because of the other programs they download in the background with out your knowledge. It's like opening a floodgate and they eventually clog your computer until it's useless.

The speed is determined by not just you but the other users. They might have a slower speed, or there could be heavy traffic (your end or theirs) slowing it down.
Some times other users sending you files log off and your stuck waiting till the next day when they log on again.
There are so many possibilities.

I have had a few 700MB movies take over a Week to get it all, and some never finish because when the other person is done they stop sharing.

Limewire is a free peer-to-peer software which searches and downloads music, videos, images, software from other PCs connected via Limewire. Its fairly safe but it depends on file to file and usually it would be a good idea to run a virus scan on a file you download before using it.

Babe, its simple. If you were an actress, or singer, would you want people getting your music for free? Paying for the songs gives money to the artists and keeps food on their tables. well, that's what limewire does. Limewire robs them of this. Owning limewire is perfectly legal. but downloading protected music isn't. So, its technically not illegal, but it does keep food from getting to their tables at night.

I use LimewirePro and never had any problems with it

It will alert you if a file is infected and you just cancel it plus i always run a virus scan after i have done any downloads.

Download limewire basic then go into programmes look for LimewirePro download it hey presto your away alot faster with better search results

Owning a copy of Limewire is perfectly legal. However, using it to download copyrighted materials is not. I wouldn't worry about it, though, the chances of anyone actually bringing legal action against you for doing it are very low.

Limewire is a Music Download program. Yes, It is Free and what it does is it lets you download music, videos, programs, documents, and images from other sources. To tell you the truth, just like any other P2P and it isn't safe. They have virus. I think that as long as you have a anti-virus program and it works and its updated, your safe. its called a p2p software. (peer to peer)
its used to download all kinds of software, music, vidoes, programs ect.

Limewire is run throught a large database located in USA and CHINA. The databases have small threads connecting peers from all parts of the world. So what u search is what others share.

Limewire is a peer-2-peer network that can help you download many forms of data. It can be safe, there is no spyware or malware. You can accidentally download viruses however.

Limewire is a sub-basic file sharing program, that is the most poorly designed program I ever come across--and contains spyware!

Try shareaza...has more features, is free, and downloads faster.

I tried all the filesharing networks...morpheus, gnuclues...limewire, limewire pro...kazaa bearshare..........shareaza is still my personal favorite.
