not enough, if you're asking me.
Military pay is based on rank, the higher your rank, the more you make. However, even top ranking generals in the Army won't make much more than 80K a year. When my neice was in the army as a private 1st class, I don't know if she made 12K a year.

It depends on his rank. Example an E6 gets paid more than an E1 they get the same amount of combat pay but because of the difference in ranks his basic pay is much higher.
