I had heard generally about some Mexican movement to get 'majority vote' by demographics, growing up, but since most of my Hispanic friends thought they were nuts, I pretty much discounted it. I heard of 'reconquista' per se between the March protests and the May 1 protest, when I was really pissed off by the marches and started to really look into the whole subject.

The truth, Pancha, I first heard about it here, from Yars. I don't associate with radical groups, maybe that's why. Guess it's true that Yahoo enlightens you!

Never heard of it, but if my spanish serves me correctly (and I might be a little rusty), doesn't it mean "to reclaim or re-conquer"?
