caramel high lites are very pretty on dark hair

I would get carmel brown or chocolate brown highlights if you want a more natural look. If you want something more funky and cute, I would go with dark red or burgandy/violet.
Whatever you do, do not get anything blonde or golden! This looks so bad, trust me.
One more tip: If you don't want it to look too stripey tell your stylist specifically to make the highlights thin. That way they will blend well.

If you want to go punk... do purple or blue. Otherwise, I've seen dark hair with reddish highlights that looked really nice.

none. no offense, but highlights normally look really fake in black hair. if you really want them, i would go with something in the brown family.

Dark red.. (Burgundy red) actually look really good. It looks really pretty in the sunlight.
Believe, I have black hair and my hair has been colored red, dark red, Burgundy red for the longest...

Putting in darker browns that have red in them would look nice. Stay away from blond as the contrast is to drastic. Muted reds would look more natural.

Definitely Carmel highlights, but if you want something a little different go for burgundy.

definetly blond that's what i have in my hair and i get compliments left and right but i don't have much though i just have 2 streaks in the front on both sides

You should go with caramel in the spring and summer and red tones in the fall and winter.

WHITE....LOL jk naw i think that kinda of golden yellowish you see women with in their hair-you know the ones with the pony tials just to show it off......think its sooo cool
