The fact that you are bleeding, and the fact that you are now worried about it are exactly the reasons doctors say wait until at least after the six weeks.
An infection could cause major, major problems; but I suppose if sex is all that important to you maybe its worth the risk, eh?
Do a search on "post-partum infections" (or something like that) and see what you come up with.

There is no way to tell short of going to the OB and getting a checkup. I'd say it was probably OK unless you had a 3rd or 4th degree tear where there is so much damage. Otherwise, you probably irritated sensitive tissue. Wait a few more weeks.

the doctors tell you to wait 6 weeks because pregnancy is more likely to occur during these weeks we as women need time to heal inside and out you probaly will be fine but if i were you i would call my ob/gyn to get yourself checked out

He shouldn't have pressured you so much, I did the same thing, go see your doctor, everything will be fine. Except that you guys are going to have to wait even longer to go at it like normal.

Didn't your doctor tell you and your husband not to engage in sex until after six weeks -- after the stitches have healed? after you have had your next check-up? after the doctor makes sure that you are healing correctly? If he/she didn't they certainly should have!

You should've waited until you were six weeks postpartum. You are still healing and sex can cause an infection in your vagina and/or uterus.
