Divide the hair you'd like to braid into three sections.
So lets say your hair is set up like this:
front-section (A) middle-section (B) back-section (C)
Step 1: Hold all three sections loosely in your hands. It should look like : A-B-C.
Step 2: Cross section 'A' over section 'B', so that it is now the section in the middle. It should now look like: B-A-C.
Step 3: Cross section 'C' over section 'A' (the opposite direction of Step 2), so that it is in the middle. It should look like: B-C-A.
Step 4: Cross section 'B' over section 'C' (the same direction as Step 2, but opposite of Step 3), so that it is the section in the middle. It should look like: C-B-A.
Step 5: Cross section 'A' over section 'B' (same direction as Step 3, not Step 2 or 4), so that it is now in the middle. It should look: C-A-B.
Continue that pattern of back and forth section crossing until your hair is braided as much as you would like.

Section your hair into three relatively equal sections. The middle section stays in place. Take the left side and put it over the middle section. Then take the right side and put it over the two. Then take the section that is now on the left and put it over the middle. Repeat all the way down until all the hair is braided.

you section the hair that you want to braid into three sections or seperate strands. you would take the strand at the right and fold it over the center strand keeping strands seperated. pull the strand that was in the middle to the right. Now take the stand on the left and fold it over the center strand and pull the center strand to the left. Continue doing this until you are at the end of the strand and then put a type of rubber band at bottom.

Take a section of hair, and divide it into three seperate pieces. Holding on to the pieces you take the left piece and cross it over the middle. Then you take the right piece and cross it over the middle. Then go back and take the left piece and cross it over the middle. You keep doing this until it is braided.
