I haven't been to Hope, Alaska but I've been to Fairbanks where I lived for three years. I have been to the North Pole. I picked wild blueberries, dragged moose antlers home, went to school, went to a lot of dances with friends. It is fun for a single person. (if you are a woman) There are about 10 men for every woman. Yoo Hoo!!!

I've been to Hope Alaska twice. Once, to attend a class on helicopter operations (my EMT instructor was head of EMS down there). The second time, just to show a friend that there really is a Hope, Alaska. It's a cute little town. I got a bit of a tour of it, got to see their fire engine (a big barrel of water towed by a pickup truck), and got to eat at this cute little diner with really awesome desserts. It's very quaint, but an adorable town.
