If you have used a new shampoo on him, then yes, this could be bothering you. When was the last time you bathed him? It could simply be that he got into something outside that you are allergic to, and that it is still in his fur. Husky shephard mixes tend to have thick fur that traps a lot of things like pollens and dust in them. I would try giving him a bath with some shampoo that you know you aren't allergic too, something that isn't thick though, and then water down with at least as much water in the mixture as shampoo. Also, you probably know this, but if know, when rinsing your dog off to make sure the shampoo won't bother you when they are dry, take the bowl or cup you use to rinse your dog off, and pour it slowly against their back, this will allow the water to rinse right to their skin, where as if it's poured too far away from the skin, or too hard, it won't soak in, but simply bounce off the fur. Good luck! :)

well I can say this from past experience, but peoples' allergies change over time. You might of become allergic to you dog.

When I was younger (maybe 5 to 10 years ago (I'm only 17), I was terribly allergic to dogs. Now maybe 4 years ago my allergies seemed to have changed, and I'm not allergic to dogs anymore, but to cats really badly.

Your best bet would be to go see an allergist (or a doctor) to see what exactly you're allergic to, and maybe you'll get some medication for it.

good luck! and hopefully you're not allergic to your pooch, it might just be the shampoo you're using.

People can develop allergies over time or it could be the shampoo you used. After you are finished playing and petting the dog (and keep your face away from his fur == actually his dander == go wash your hands before you touch your face.

I'm not an expert, I can just guess. Maybe your dog's hair is full of pollen and dust you are allergic to. Try switching the shampoo and you'll see if the shampoo was the thing that made your eyes itchy.

I'm gonna say that if you have had him for five yeas with no trouble then it must be the shampoo that you switched to. If I were you, I'd go back to what you know and are used to. Good Luck

Change the shampoo and find out, before thinking about getting rid of the poor guy.

Your doctor would be the best one to answer that question, but if you have recently changed his shampoo, try going back to the old one and see if that helps.

they have eye drops for allergies. Go in and get tested for allergies and then go from there. wash your hands good after the playing and petting session so u wont rub your eyes

I would say that it is probably the shampoo, swith brands and see what happens, if that doesn't work then go to the doctor.
