Me and my girlfriend just went through a misunderstanding. I REALLY want to talk to her but, my mom told me to take a break from talking to her for a few days. In a week she is going to Maine to see her dad, I want to tell her that it is my fault and I misunderstood her and she misunderstood me! I also don't want to disobey my mom, should I call her? Oh so confused!

ring her its your life your gf.not really your mums business. i mean you care what she thinks but this is between you and your gf. talk to her. tell your mum your gonna.

Listen to your mom. There is never a bad time to take a "cooling off" break. But also, I understand, you want to mend fences. You want her to understand that you were wrong. Here is my suggestion and it may not even be against your mom's rules. Go by her a nice card, inside write: "I'm sorry, I was wrong." Nothing more just that. Send it to her in the mail. It will take a day or so. In the meanwhile play it cool. If she really has feelings for you, she will come around. Ask your mom, she may even agree with me. She is a lot smarter than you realize.

Ah, this reminds me of the episode of That 70's Show where Donna & Eric and Kitty & Red were fighting over if you have something go wrong in life are you supposed to 'shower them with love' or 'give them space'. The women said 'shower them with love' and guys said 'give them space'... If that helps you any.
You should talk to her and tell her you're sorry. Hey, you could find a loop-hole. You could e-mail her or text her. Then you're not 'talking'. You're 'typing'. Ha ha, aren't I the little trickster? ;)

Personally I find it's best to make up and apologize as soon as possible. But I rarely ever get into heated arguements so I'm not the most experienced in the matter.

go with ur instinct. think of today being the last day u will ever see her (hey u never know) and call her if that is what u wish to do. ur mom cant control u! and this only applies if ur over 14

I think you should go to your mom and tell her that it is bad manners and hurtful for you to take a break without making your GF aware of what's going on. Then obey your Mom.

If you feel strongly that you're wrong & you have to tell her, I'm sorry boy - you gotta tell her.
Tell mom she needs to back off.
And if your mom ends up being right, buy her flowers. Easy.

depends on how old u r. if you're grown, then it's your choice, not your mom's. but then again, it is your relationship and your mom isnt in it. so talk to her. y should your mom get mad at u 4 talking to YOUR girlfriend?
