You could try to feed him cereal at night time....or keep him up longer. All babies are different and have different sleep schedules. My 6 month old sleeps through out the night, and is crawling and already has one tooth.......lol....so not all babies are the same. If you feel frustrated, keep him in the crib and let him cry, he will cry himself back to sleep!! Good luck

**And dont give your baby medicine to sleep....any parent knows that :)

My daughter did not sleep through the night until she was over a year old. There a few things to try. Try to not give the baby a late nap, keep him up until you go to bed, give him a warm bath about an hour before bedtime, feed him so he'll have a full tummy. The only thing that worked for us was just wait it out and be patient. Nap when your baby naps. I promise, it will get better.

Most babies wake up when they're cold, hungry, wet or having a nightmare. Yes, babies have nightmares. If you feed your baby about an hour before bed including cereal in the milk, then bathe the baby in warm water, give a full body massage with lotion, dress in cotton jamies and put to bed with clean sheets and a comforting blanket or quilt you've done all you can to help your baby rest comfortably. Is there anything in the crib that could cause breathing problems from allergies? If there is, remove it from the sleeping area. Good luck.

There are different variables I don't know about your current routine for bedtime, but I do have suggestions. Develop a very repetative routine and give it about 1-2wks to take root. You can do different things..lullabys, warm bath, breast/bottle ect. At 7months they still need mommy alot and are easily distracted. Keep routines and same time all the time. That generally will do the best despite any new 'tricks' you may try. Littleones at this age really thrive on routines. Have patience and stick with it and after you follow thru you will feel alot more relief.

Remember on Sex and the City when Samantha put a vibrator under Brady's (baby) rocker? And he stopped crying.

I think soothing visual or sensory things work. A soft light that changes colors above your baby's crib, a cool fan with a small windchime in front of it, a sound machine with sounds of running water...

You should always sit with your baby while he's falling off to sleep with whatever stimulus you want to surround him with. If he wakes up in the middle of the night, he'll hear or see whatever helped to lull him to sleep in the first place and he'll gradually quiet down and go back to sleep.

Also, you should regulate his waking and sleeping hours during the day.

Try giving her/her a little dimetap. I wasn't this young, but my mom used to feed me and my sisters gulps of diemetap to make us sleep all night.
