First of all, you need a good quality CERAMIC flat iron. The best is the professional CHI iron you can buy at most hair salons. It's expensive but it will give you very straight hair without damaging it and it should last you forever. When your ironing, take small sections and slowly go from roots to ends turning the iron inward a bit at the ends so they dont look frazzled. when your done use a silk oil by CHI or you can use biosilk, there are other ones too. it will give you shine and control the flyaways.

When i flat iron my hair I usually do it piece-by-piece. I start at the back with a horizontal part then, i work my way to the front. The front part is the tricky part b/c you have to flat iron it according to the way you wat to style it! If you wear a "swoop" or bangs then u should flat it towards the front or the side. The most important thing to remember is to thouroughly flat iron it and to use some type od oil moisturizer so that the flat irons dont dry your hair out. Also, dont make a habit of flat ironing your hair if its real soft or thin cuz it can cause damage.Good luck.

When you flat iron your hair, seperate it into layers and flat iron about a 3 inch wide peice at a time. Works like a charm:)

Using a flat iron and maybe some styling gell but not too much just do one layer at a time not too much hair in the layer though. It might take a while but you wanna look good right?

well put half of ur hair up and hold it with a clip then get a piece of ur hair to the side then just iron it upwards if u want it really straight then just do the same with the rest and when ur done use a little bit of oil but just a lil not too much to calm the hairs that r kinda static

Well you need to buy a good quality flat iron NOT form thee drug store or Target, Wal-mart etc... (it may cost more but it is worth it because cheap ones start ripping out your hair and breaking it and that makes it look worse) and you should apply a anti frizz serum or cream. Sunsilk has really nice ones that work great and it doesn't cost much (you can find Sunsilk at target or drugstore.com) and make sure your hair is dry and clean. Good Luck!!!

#1 Make sure your hair is thourghly dry, and always use a styling aide, a smoothing gel is best. Also do it in sections and start at the root!! To hel maintain your style throughout the day, follow up with a shine product!!
