the healthiest way is to let it grow, however that is also the longest way. You could also try adding some light brown highlights to help blend out the demarcation line (also known as roots), this way you are not doing an all over decolorization (stripper or bleach). Black really can only be removed by a bleach process, you cant remove color with color, especially over the counter stuff. You could also try a shampoo cap which is mixing equal parts of an on the scalp bleach with equal parts shampoo and letting it sit for a few minutes, this would allow you to put color on and have an illusion of lightness. However this can get tricky, so you really should go see a stylist!!

The best way is to grow it out (takes alot of patience) the quick way is with bleach, start with the back part of your hair and work your way to the crow (top of ur head) if you went blue black like me it may take a couple of tries but dont over do it or it will look like straw. So bleach then deep condition and wait 2 weeks and bleach again when you get to the desired shade trim it so it can look healthy. Good Luck and God Speed!

Was your hair naturally brown? If not, you can go to the hair salon, get your hair bleached... before you can dye it light brown. That's the only way the colour can show. Otherwise, no matter how many times you dye your hair, it will still be black.

Grow it out- once you go black you can never go back!! It is impossible to remove the metal that is used in black to achieve that color therefore you cannot get your brown back unless you like really orange undertones, trust me.

You can have the black color stripped out, which can be very damaging or you can let it grow off,you can cut your hair shorter so that it won't take as long to grow off.
