There's lots of buildings in D.C. that have great architecture. In other cities too, for that manner.

yes, it has great architecture. Union Station is considered to be one of the finest examples of the Beaux-Arts style of architecture. It's been restored, so it is very similar to how it was when it was originally built. The trains aren't the main thing there, now, it's more the shops and the architecture that are the draw. What's interesting is that when the train station was first built people would come there to watch the various celebrities and movie stars arrive in Washington DC as the trains were the only mode of transportation to the Nation's capital back then, and that the first thing they would see when getting out of the station is the view of the capital....it's pretty much overgrown now, so you don't get the view that they did years ago, but it's still an interesting place to go.

For me (a little small town girl who'd never even been in a train station!) it was amazing. The architecture is beautiful. We went there our first night in DC & wow, what a way to start off the trip! That place has to be beautiful at Christmas & if it's not then someone's slacking!

well the architecture is nice its typical though in dc I've lived here all my life so I'm use to it. But union station i think personally caters to the tourist it's a lot of little shops and eating places there

Yes I do, it's one of the grandest and nicest train stations in any major city. And beautifully restored.
