It is "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness". That means that we Americans are guaranteed the right to live, to live freely, and to strive for happiness. Not to automatically obtain happiness...we have the right to work for it.
Is there any? I live, live freely and work hard to live in a nice home with my spouse and children. I look for happiness. I find it, too.
