I think you sound like a dream kid! I think you are doing everything you can. Sometimes Moms just need to feel sad at the passage of time. My youngest is leaving in September also and it has been a weepy summer. Just let your Mom know that eventhough you are no longer at home you still need her and how she comes to mind all the time with all she taught you and instilled in you. She knows you love her and she also knows it is time for her babies to fly. Make her proud of the job she did and fly right!

Tell your Mom just what you wrote-I am here for you if you just want to talk. Tell her as you already do that you love her every time you talk to her. Keep sending her cards and send her cards that tells her how very special she is to you. Get her to come up where you live and stay a weekend and go out shopping, out to eat, to the movies, etc... Things she likes to do. All of these little things will tell her that you cherish her. I feel she already knows that. Your Mom is losing your brother now too, and she is depressed. It is always hard to let go of your children and let them grow up. Your Mom will be okay after a little while. It just takes time. But one thing she will really need also is for your brother to call her 2-3 times a week and let her know he is okay and how things are going. That will help her alot with losing another child from home. When she can hear his voice and know by his voice that he is happy, it will help her tremendously. You are such a fine young lady and I admire you alot. Keep up the good work with your life and keeping in touch with your Mom. Every Mom and child needs to know that they are loved. I will be thinking about you alot. I have now lost both of my parents. My Dad in 1993 and my Mom only 8 months ago. I am only 45 years old and feel so lost without them. If I didn't have a son like I do, I don't know what would have happened to me. You are truly special and one of a kind. Sending this with love.

You’re the only mother I’ve ever known
And I’m sure glad and proud
To have u as my mom in every possible way
U taught me to speak and walk and
Every thing else I know
I love u for all the sacrifices u made for me
From the time that I was born
I o’ve my entire life to you and
I will always be most grateful, and
Thankful to you in everyway
For the person I am today cuz
I know it wouldn’t of being possible
Without u there to guide me.
Mother you’re my inspiration and
My perfect ideal of a mum
And I don’t know what I would do without u
Although I know this poem doesn’t rhyme
But these are words that come straight from my heart
To say that I loved you, I love u and I will always do
My prayers to god are to always keep you safe n sound
And grant u true happiness in this world always…
*My Mother*
My mother is pretty
My mother is fine
My mother is so sweet
And she’s always on my mind…
((( I love u so much mom ))))
give this to her

Wow well my mom knows I love her. But some weeks ago I bought something that was outlandishly expensive. A watch with diamond studs. My mom knows how much I like using my money on my self, but I spent it all on her after saving for so long. I also know that mothers dont need alot to feel appreciated. Small things will let her know she is cherished. On a very random day, nothing special I'll get up very early and make my mother something that she really likes. Very small things can make a mother very happy.
But I'm sure your mother knows she's cherished. ;)

Keep doing what you have been doing that is the best way and maybe if at all possible maybe you could pop over for a surprise visit even if you can't stay long. otherwise keep those phone calls coming moms always love to hear their kids voice if for some reason they can't see them.sounds like to me your moms pretty lucky. as are you lucky that you still have your mom.

Make a small box for her, and inside put little objects that represent different aspects of her personality that you adore. Write her a letter. Just tell her how much you love her. I'm sure she will love most of all that she has done such a good job rearing you and that you appreciate it. :)
