Dilantin is a seizure medication. You may mena Dilaudid, which is about 10 times stronger than morphine.... In fact, it is the strongest legal pain medicine available. Only heroin is tronger. It was created during World War II because of a shortage of morphine. I've had it for kidney stones before, and 2 mgs knocks me out and takes away the pain 100%. It comes in tablet form, too, but I do not recommend it that way, as it doesn't work nearly as well for me. But through an IV, it works wonders with a very small dose.

DILAUDID : hydromophone, a narcotic analgesic in liquid, tablets, and suppositories for those who can no longer swallow but have moderate to severe pain this is what you probably mean as it is a morphine like pain relief, always depends on how each individual responds these are as you probably know addictve but if you or your loved one is terminally ill and in screaming pain.... addiction? who cares ,I say. You know Inderal suppositories are very effective for some reason with bone pain but it lowers blood pressure and is only used by hospice in like the last day or two if your Dr or nurse knows about it. Hope this helps. Both are IV meds. I didn't know the HX and that it is 10 X stonger than morphine though.

I think you might be thinking of Dilantin. It's an anti seizure drug.
